MUNIR respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the MUNIR mobile application handles information when you use the app.
1. Information MUNIR Uses
MUNIR may use information that you choose to provide or permissions that you choose to grant in order to provide app features.
This may include:
- Location information to calculate prayer times and Qiblah direction based on your location.
- Microphone access when you choose to use supported Quran memorisation or listening practice features.
- Notification permission when you choose to receive prayer, Adhan or other app notifications.
- App preferences and progress, such as favourites, Dhikr progress, memorisation progress, streaks and settings.
2. How Information Is Used
Information and permissions are used only to provide the features you choose to use, such as prayer-time calculations, Qiblah direction, notifications, memorisation practice, favourites and progress tracking.
3. Information Stored on Your Device
MUNIR stores app preferences and progress information locally on your device. This may include settings, favourites, Dhikr completion progress, memorisation progress and related app preferences.
4. Microphone Access
MUNIR requests microphone access only when you choose to use a feature that requires listening or speech input, such as supported Quran memorisation practice. MUNIR does not continuously access your microphone.
5. Location Access
MUNIR may request access to your location to provide location-based Islamic features, including prayer times and Qiblah direction. Location access is used only when required for these features and according to the permissions you grant on your device.
6. Notifications
If you enable notifications, MUNIR may send prayer reminders, Adhan notifications or other reminders that you have chosen to receive. You can manage notification permissions through your device settings.
7. Third-Party Services
Some app features may rely on services or resources provided by the operating system or third-party technology providers. Those services may process information according to their own privacy policies.
8. Data Sharing and Sale
MUNIR does not sell your personal information. MUNIR does not share personal information with third parties for advertising purposes.
9. Children's Privacy
MUNIR is designed as a general Islamic companion and does not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising or profiling. Parents and guardians should supervise children's use of mobile devices and manage device permissions as appropriate.
10. Your Choices
You can control permissions such as location, microphone and notifications through your device settings. You may also stop using the app or uninstall it at any time.

This Privacy Policy may be updated when MUNIR's features or privacy practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
